Page 61, bottom paragraph.

1. Agreeing is more difficult than you might think. When agreeing you cant simply restate the opinions you agree with. Even when you are agreeing you must bring something original to your statement, something that makes your statement truly yours, and gives your purpose for stating your opinion meaning.

2a. I chose 'The Gettysburg Address'. The writing style was repetitive. Example: "But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate, we can not consecrate, we can not hallow, this ground." This type of writing by repetition sounds different from other styles because it is bold and is used by many public speakers. The words the author chose were mostly inspirational type words like: dedicated, devotion, freedom, and brave. The tone was also inspirational.

2b. Life as a Purdue Boilermaker is full of excitement, full of joy, and full of experiences I'll never forget. When I am just sitting around with my friends I think to myself that these are the times I will think back on once I have graduated, once I have found a job, once I have settled down with a family, these times spent here at Purdue will never be forgotten. Each day we spend here is a memory that we will look back on and smile knowing that while we were bettering ourselves with a higher education we were also able to enjoy ourselves. Personally, in the future, I believe I will think back to my wrestling teammates, the ones who always have my back, the ones who pick me up when Im down, the once who accomplished great things with me.
